The Ferrière Garden
Locality "La Ferrière" in Amont-et-Effreney
Created in 2002, the Jardin de la Ferrière never stops growing, ever creating new surprises.
Over 1,8 ha you will discover successive 'rooms' of greenery, each different from the last : english ambiance, children garden, greenery snake slithering in a meadow to a jardin à la française.
After a break in the Conversation corner, you can admire the japanese maples, the dogwoods … and a new staging every year.
A detour through the vegetables garden, then onward to the water …
The banks of the ponds trail are populated by mallards. Both wild and familiar, they inspire to rest and meditation.
The more courageous will continue on the arboretum trails.

Events in 2020
PRUNING OF THE HYDRANGEAS PANICULATAS - Mid-march
FETE DES PLANTES RARES OU PEU COMMUNES (rare and uncommon plants) - Sunday May 10th (Spring edition) and Sunday September 31th (Autumn edition). Admissions : 3 euros.
Meet passionate amateur gardeners, discover new plants, visit the garden, artists exhibitions (ceramics, metal decorations for the garden).
RENDEZ-VOUS AUX JARDINS (rendez-vous in the gardens) - The first week-end of june
- Open on demand, everyday except monday, from May to September, from 2 to 7 pm.
- Admission : 6 euros (guided tour at 3 pm, around 2h30 long) / free for kids under 10.
- No toilets on location.
- Partial acces to people with reduced mobility.
- No dogs allowed. You can picnic on location.
